I had been sick (flu???) for a few days and couldn't stand laying around any longer, and on the day I felt better we decided to take these two little angels outside to do something fun in the sun.
James is at E.F.Y in Tacoma for the week and Eliza at her very first Girl's Camp. Having them gone has been weird but the dynamics at home have been better and there's been very little contention. These little girls get along so well without having to compete for attention. They played wonderfully and peacefully all week. It was a nice little break from the big brother and sister, but we all miss them and can't wait to see them again.
Anyhow, I told Rob I wanted to go down the trail for a walk with him and the girls and then come back to the Lake if it was sunny enough. He surprised us all with a canoe ride across the Lake instead and it included a trail walk, we got the best of both ideas. He got the girls so excited about going on an adventure and told them we were in search of "Skull Island", which made this whole activity even more fun. he is so creative and so much fun!
The weather turned out perfect and it even got warm. The Lake was glassy and there were fishes jumping out, birds chirping, it was so quiet and peaceful. So very Serene. I love it here. This is as close to heaven as I get, and sharing it with my sweet family makes it even better. I took a ton of pictures. I totally slowed them down on the trails, because I took so many. They are so supportive and so patient with me.
Oh, I have to let you know that the girls did find "Skull Island" as Rob called it. He dumped them both off on this rock, on the water with moss growing on it and told them it was their Island. The girls looooved that! They were so happy. I loved seeing their big smiles and seeing pure JOY on their faces. They just thought that was the best thing ever and on the way home they both said that this was the BEST DAY of their LIVES! That made one happy Daddy, who made it all possible. Thank you Rob for our little adventure. You are amazing, and a fantastic father to our children. I too had the best day ever, thanks to you!
Thank You Deb for being such an wonderful neighbor and letting us borrow everything we needed for our little adventure on the Lake. I don't what we will ever do without you. We love you!
It was a beautiful day in Bellingham. let's hope and pray we have a warmer Summer!!!
