Father's Day Breakfast....

Today's special Breakfast was made with lots of love by Eliza.  She made her Daddy french toasts with fruit (without my help).  They were delicious!  Thank you Eliza, you are growing up so fast and you never cease to amaze me.
She also was our photographer with Juliette as her sidekick!  She did a good job!
Sophia has been feeling icky with fever and a sore throat- I hope it is not STREP!  But she has been a good sport today and has been smiling.  She made more cards for Daddy today, too.
After breakfast we all presented him with our homemade cards and gifts.  Eliza's was the best.  She titled it "My labor of Love" and we printed a picture of her mowing the lawn on Friday.  This was her gift to Rob-  So very sweet!  She was so sore yesterday.  But she is one tough cookie~!
Juliette presented her with this cool coupon book.  I just laughed at all the things she has offered to do for her Daddy.  They even have expiration dates, some last a year and a few others one day!  So funny!
Sophia's art was just amazing!  She is very talented- that is just my personal opinion, lol!  Daddy loved it all.
James is out of town, but we felt his love...heeehee!  Maybe he will call him today.  Anyhow, we love you ROB.  You are the best Daddy ever!  Thank you for all that you do for all of us!

I didn't get to do a post on Mother's Day about the wonderful Mother's in my life, but I know that I took the time to let them know, but for the Dad's they don't hear it as much as the Moms so here goes my attempt...

For the Father's in my life

You are all an inspiration,

In many ways you have all fought your battles and have conquered them...

Called of God to restore His Church in this Dispensation.

Off to BYU Soccer Camp he goes.  Dropping off James at the airport was super hard, more than I thought.  I can only imagine when he leaves on a mission for 2 years?  He is only gone for about 3 weeks this time, but it was hard on all of us.  It was more tender to see the girls crying and telling him that they loved him.  He hugged them all and that was even more tender for me. 
The other hard part was not knowing whether he would get on the plane or not.  We got a Buddy Pass from my Mom who works for Delta, so we were on stand by.  The flights we were trying to catch were not looking so good.  He was the last one on each of the stand by waiting lists.  We prayed so much.  It was so neat to see my son bow his head, standing, arms folded, in the middle of the airport, without hesitation, and pray.  He did this several times.  The best, most tender one was when he finally was told he was getting on and he took a moment to Thank His Heavenly Father.  It was LITERALLY a miracle that he got on.   
My Mom called the next day to tell me that Delta had a new policy in regards to Minors and flying alone.  She was not aware of it because she has been on sick-leave for months after her surgery in Feb. and yesterday was her one day back to work.  The new policy says that minors on Buddy passes are no longer permitted to travel without an adult.  So, the fact that he got on a plane and is in UTAH right now is a MIRACLE!  Lots of Thank you prayers have been said.
Well, now that he has been there 2 days, he has been spoiled rotten by my family.  He got new shirts, went to a family b-day party, got taken out to eat (and he didn't have to split his burger in half to share), met Baby R, hugged Miss D, hugged my little brother (who I haven't seen in like 3 yrs) and went to the movies, all on Saturday.  Then yesterday he got to meet Matt's Sweetheart (lucky him).  He so deserves all this love and attention.  I know he is enjoying it all.
 Now he is with Uncle Matt for the next 2 weeks or so.  After soccer camp he is heading out to Idaho Falls (via Uncle Matt who is going there to meet her sweetheart's family) to be with Rob's Sister's family and maybe even be a part of a TREK for the youth in her Ward.  That would be super exciting for him!  We'll see!  He sure will not be missing our fabulous warm-sunny weather here in Bellingham (a little sarcasm there).  But, Bellingham will sure be missing him!  We love you buddy and we miss you...Don't stay up too late!

Fun in the SUN....

It is a must here to go outside when the Sun is shining.  You never know when it is going to be rainy and cloudy again.  Even the weatherman can't forecast Bellingham's weather accurately.  I would say about 60% of the time the forecast is wrong!  Although this weekend the waetherman was right...we were told that it would be sunny and warm and it has been.  The kids have spent every second they possibly can, outside.  Juliette came inside yesterday and said to me "It is so very Hot outside, I'm going to melt"...she was wearing a bathing suit.  I checked to see what the current temperature was and it was 71 degrees.  I'm curious to know what she will say when she goes to Utah this Summer and it is over 90 degrees.  Maybe she will say "I'm dying of heat".  Eliza on the other hand was still wearing jeans and a hoodie.
Anyhow, It has been absolutely gorgeous here and it makes all that rain so worth it!  Even though I have been sick with Strep, I have enjoyed a little sun-bathing in my PJ's.  I am so excited for SUMMER to be officially here and for the kids to get out of school next week.  We have so many wonderful things ahead of us this Summer.  Most of it involves seeing a lot of family!  YAY!
