Christmas aftermath...

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve. We started new traditions this year, one being that the boys get to cook us (girls) dinner. They set it up to be a restaurant, calling it TOBLERINIO. We had menus under candlelight, and sweet Christmas music playing in the background. Rob and James wore ties, and served us. We had so much fun. Then we opened Abuela's (my Mom) Christmas present, which was a "Little People Fisher Price Nativity" toy set for the kids. We read from Luke and played our parts with the little toys. The kids loved it and have requested that we do it every year. So, we will. Christmas Day came and it was a very simple and modest Christmas. I successfully pre-made cinnammon rolls this year and served them with Hot Cocoa (another tradition). The kids were so excited about their gift from Santa that they forgot about the ones under the tree for a minute. Santa did alright this year. He (we) made some crummy mistakes with some of the gifts. Poor James got a used PSP and it doesn't even play games, then the wrong game was purchased, and there was no USB port to connect the thing to download stuff unto it. Santa feels pretty bad. The girls got stuff they wanted, but I will definitely stay away from POLLY POCKET Dolls...they are scattered every where. The pieces and dolls are so small. I am finding them in every room possible daily, and on their beds. Sophia wanted a pet Kitty, Santa brought her a stuffed animal instead, she seems to be satisfied with that. But, regardless They all agreed that it was a great Christmas. Juliette especifically said that "it was the best Christmas ever". Overall it was about giving and not getting as James said it. He is pretty wise for his age.

Merry Christmas...

I attempted to take my "once a year Christmas" picture in front of the tree yesterday and it was quite entertaining. I had to bribe Sophia with Chocolate to get her to sit still and pose for me. ELiza would not hold serious long enough. She kept making faces, then Juliette would get so easily distracted I would catch her side ways or looking elsewhere. I did get some very good pictures and some others that were just classic. Here is what I mean...but before I forget, thank You Great-Grandma Gulliver for your Christmas present. With it I was able to get the girls matching Christmas dresses. Merry Christmas everyone. We hope the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ dwells in your homes thru out this season, and thru out the New Year.
We are calling our tree: "The Charlie Brown Christmas Tree"

This is what I mean about being silly

Welcome to the the new Tobler Family Blog...

I am so excited to get this out to family and close friends. Perhaps, we can keep each other posted more often on all of our adventures and mis-adventures all thru out the year. I look forward to getting to know you all better as a result of your comments, and grow closer to family and friends in the process. My main purpose is to bring us closer together, to keep in touch more foten, and to shorten the gap of distance that separates most of us who live far from family. I hope to have most of you join our blog and perhaps start your own. Best of all you will get to read about our busy life and crazy kids. You will probably get some laughs.
